Everything here is free to use in coverage of Frankly. No request, no form, no reply to wait for. Screenshots, the app icon and the social card are below, at full resolution. They are the same screens Apple shows on the App Store listing, without the marketing caption Apple's version prints over the top, which is usually what an editor wants. So is the written half: what it is in a line and in a paragraph, what makes it different, the nine decks, three cards as they actually appear, the facts, and the limits stated plainly.

Accuracy. Nine decks, 522 cards. One deck (Icebreakers, 24 cards) is free outright and the first five cards of every other deck are free, 64 free cards in total. Decks are $1.99–$5.99 each; All-Access is $24.99/year and starts with a seven-day free trial. 135 of the 522 cards carry a deeper follow-up. No account, no ads, no network needed to play.
Languages. All 522 cards and all 135 follow-ups exist in ten editions across nine languages. This is the card text itself, not only the interface: English, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Ukrainian. English, Spanish, French and Ukrainian have had a full editorial pass; the other six catalogues are machine translation awaiting native review, and the app says so in each of them. Please do not describe any of the six as professionally translated.

In one line
Frankly is a pocket library of conversation card decks. You open a deck, and answer one question at a time. Nine decks, 522 questions, 135 of which carry a follow-up that appears only once the first has been answered. No account, no feed, and the cards work with no network.
In one paragraph
Frankly turns dead air into real talk. It is a library of nine conversation card decks, 522 questions in all, played one card at a time by swiping, with a deeper follow-up waiting behind any card you tap. There is a deck for a first date, for a decade in, for the family dinner table, for a long-distance call, for a loud group, and for sitting alone with a coffee. One whole 24-card deck is free, the first five cards of every other deck are free, and nothing asks you to make an account.
What makes it different
Nine decks, eight bespoke visual worlds
Colour, gradient, typeface and ambient motion all change with the deck. The ambient edge motion is a Metal-backed shader; the chrome adopts iOS 26 Liquid Glass, with text contrast machine-verified in every theme, in light and dark.
All 522 cards in ten locale editions
Not the interface only. Every question and every follow-up is localized into ten editions across nine languages: English, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Ukrainian. They are not all at the same stage of review; see Limits.
No account. No feed. No tracking.
No sign-up, no streaks, no notifications you didn't ask for, and core play works offline. Progress, favourites and written reflections stay on the device. The app ships with no advertising identifier and nothing declared under “Data Used to Track You”. The App Store listing declares what is collected: purchase history, anonymous product-interaction data, and crash diagnostics. Product analytics stays off until you opt in. Crash reporting is a separate channel, not covered by that prompt, and may be active in the shipped build. RevenueCat is contacted when the app starts to check what has been bought. None of these carries a card, an answer or a favourite.

Each deck carries its own palette, gradient, typeface and ambient motion. Opening a different deck is meant to feel like walking into a different room, not filtering a list.

territories and live since 14 August 2026. There is no lifetime purchase and no bundle. Prices are
the United States store; Apple sets the local equivalent.
Free tier. 64 cards without payment: the whole 24-card Icebreakers deck, plus the
first five of each of the other eight. All 64 are readable at
/questions/, quotable without asking, and that page prints as cards:
two columns, no interface, the address on the last sheet, if you want them on a table.
How the cards were written. By a person, one at a time, before release. Nothing in
the app is generated while it is used. There is no model running behind the deck, and this was
checked against the shipped build: zero AI dependencies, zero AI API calls, zero on-device ML. The
app itself was built with AI tooling, which is a different thing and is said here so it does not have
to be asked.
Languages. Ten locale editions across nine languages: English, Spanish (Spain
and Latin America), French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Ukrainian.

Age rating. 16+, applied to the whole library rather than per deck. Apple’s advisories are “Frequent Mature or Suggestive Themes” and “Contains Health or Wellness Topics”.

Limits, stated plainly
Worth knowing before you write about it, and better from us than found later. Translation quality varies. English is reviewed. Spanish, French and Ukrainian have had a full editorial pass with native sign-off still pending. German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese are machine output awaiting native review; they ship because an imperfect translation of a question is more useful than no question. iPhone only. It runs on iPad in compatibility mode, but it is not designed for it. One rating so far. The app is new; there is no review volume to point at yet.

On quoting the cards. The 64 questions at frankly-cards.netlify.app/questions/ are the ones the app gives away free — the whole Icebreakers deck plus the first five of each other deck. Quote any of them, in any number, without asking. They are there precisely so a piece about the app can show what the writing is actually like instead of describing it. The other 458 are paid, and are not on that page.
Search for the full name, not “Frankly”. Several unrelated products use that word, including another app and a developer account on the App Store, so the string that finds this one is Frankly: Cards for Connection (App Store ID 6784455025). The assets on this page need no request. They are direct downloads. Frankly is free to download, and 64 cards are free without payment, one whole 24-card deck plus the first five of each of the other eight, but reviewing it properly means seeing all nine decks. Ask and we will send a code that unlocks the full library, redeemable in the app under Settings → Redeem code. The app icon and full-resolution screenshots are already published at frankly-cards.netlify.app/press/ — no request, no form, nothing to wait for. Screenshots in a locale edition other than the ones on that page, or the 26-second app preview, are the only assets worth asking for.
